Swordbreaker must be beaten!

This galaxy has drained my soul. The evil Keepers and their monstrous destroyers come for me, again and again. Ahh!! I cannot go to sleep. I've been thinking and thinking. My wife thinks I am insane because it's just a game, but I have to beat this one. There must be a way!! Someone, please....tell me you did it. Tell me, it's possible.

I use the Freighters to trade, but it's such a long trade run. Takes them a while to make $. I even hold the planets for a while...but those evil destroyers come and he uses the Assasins to take the planets away from me. One time, I thought I had him...but I forgot about Cynders and the sly bomber took me out. Just slipped by while I was focus on Keepers. I would have had him!!! Tell me someone's been able to do it. Give me hope...

Hey tdog, Yes I know how you feel. I have been late to meetings, missed appointments (not fired yet) and the like, just out of sheer frustration and to prove to the galaxy gods that a particular galaxy could be beaten. When your stuck, remember to try something different, a totally new approach may be necessary (outside the box) so to say. If that also fails, take a break and tackle another round then come back. For whatever reason you look at it a different way and sometimes it then becomes easier, relatively speaking. We are however here to help you in anyway possible. Without doing a play by play (no problem with that either), here is in general how I beat the "swords". First of all I have found that I am not big on trading, for some of your aforementioned reasons. Particularly on this galaxy, too far to go not enough payoff. So I started by taking the two freighters from the spaceport and moved them to the two closes planets earning 10, one above and one below. With my starting 45, I bought a scav and a cruiser and placed them on planet earning 10 above and to the left my base. Then I beat the keepers assassin (be careful do not lose any ships) enemies will always attack your scav first. So by the time 1 minute had gone by I was earning 35. I waited just a bit bought a Assassin and placed it with the scav and cruiser on planet above. Then keepers sent a assassin killed it and shortly thereafter they sent a destroyer, by that time I had enough to but another assassin, and destroyers move so slow, so I killed their destroyer. I think around this time green sent a cruiser and was attacking my planet earning 10 with the freighter on it so I moved the freighter off and bought another assassin to kill the green cruiser and the additional bomber that was forth coming. This was around the 2:40 gone mark and I had 174/200 left on my base. I then as quickly as i could, without sacrificing defense and by buying 1 scav and 1 assassin for each planet took the keepers planet earning 10 and finally the planet right next to their base earning ten. I never took greens two planets earning 5 in the upper right hand corner by there base as I was building bombers. I tried it two different ways attacking green first and then the keepers and vice-a verse. Both ways ended about the same. I hope this helps and my wording was not to confusing. You will probably do well just by getting a great head start as mentioned above. Good luck tdog, let me know how it goes.

Swordbreaker is a tough one. I finnished it with just 1 armor remaining in my starbase :o Unfortunately I can't remember my entire strategy for that level, but after a quick peek at the galaxy in question, I do have some tips. Unlike OUFOOTBALLROCKS, I used those two freighters for trading. There is a good metal=>Oil=>Food trade ring, that takes you around the Cynder starbase. It is risky, but makes 80$ per round. You might need to repair your ships at the spaceport between trade runs, and remember to set waypoints around the Cynder base, don't just tell your freighters to fly straight from planet to planet. As for a starting strategy, build two interceptors, and send one to the red planet in the middle, and another to the blue planet to the right of your base. The Keeper will send an assasin to take the red planet, at which point you have to tell your interceptor to retreat to the small asteroid at the southeast corner of the map. By this time you should have enough money to buy a scavenger and an assasin. This fleet can easily take out the assasin at the red planet, so send them there as soon as possible. To save time, I always send scavengers to their targets ahead of the faster ships, so send the scavenger when you have about 30$, and the assasin should catch up before the planet. When you have an extra 10$, buy an interceptor, and send it to the red planet. Cynder sends bombers at your base, and the scavenger&assassin fleet you have at the red planet can take care of them, while the interceptor secures your income. By this time a Keeper destroyer is roaming toward your base, and the freighters should be far along on their run. I normally use a fleet of three assassins and a scanveger to take out destroyers. Once you take out that first destoyer, you should take the blue planet on the west side of the map. Hold it with a scavenger&assassin fleet, and add an interceptor there so you can take the other ships for combat duty in case you need them quickly.

This should get you going. Good luck!

This is another fine way to beat the swords and some very good and pertinent advice, thanks Tapsa you are spot on as usual. This brings me to another point and one that makes this game oh so enjoyable. Like I said previously I don't care much for trading, but Tapsa whipped this level with trading, and I know the creator of the game Alex used a bunch of trading on the different galaxies. So to each his own, which is very cool as there are numerous ways to win. This adds a uniqueness not found in most other games. So there you go two ways to win.

Using Freighters to hold planets. That's just crazy. In fact, so crazy that it might actually work!

With tears in my eyes I look upon the gold Victory words! Finally, the forces of evil have been vanquished and I have beaten this galaxy. Friends, I thank you for you help. It still took me another 5 tires, but how sweet it is to finally win. The key for me was stopping the Keepers from expanding about midway through the game. It took the sting out of their attacks, as they did not send Destroyers as much after that. Haha! On to the next one!

I knew you could do it. Get ready though some hard galaxies await number 25, 27, 29, and 30 are brutal. But for now let the celebration continue and congrats tdog.
